Special Interest Groups
Permaculture can be practised by anyone in the community, and as such, different people have different interests, likes, dislikes, skills and abilities. To help engender a spirit of cooperation and inclusion, PCC is keen to ensure that your membership provides opportunity for you to get involved at a practical level. To this end, special interest groups can be formed where members see a need for such a group, or where there is enough interest in establishing such a group. For example, we have a Craft Group (Crafties), a Shows Team and a Garden Team. The Herbies are no longer going. Chat to a committee member if you would like to join or even start a group, as long as it is permaculture related.
Our motto 'Education Sharing and Sustainability' describes exactly what we are about. Our intent is to provide the opportunity for Central Coast residents to enhance their understanding and experiences in permaculture, share their experiences and ultimately, attain a more sustainable life by applying permaculture principles. Members are encouraged to contribute to these aims by sharing ideas, making suggestions, attending activities and information evenings, and getting involved in a special interest group within PCC. Come along, get involved, host a visit, conduct a course - opportunities abound.
