Intro to Permaculture Course One 2008
Introduction to permaculture courses are a great way to gain a fundamental understanding of what permaculture is about. PCC conducts introductory courses, with the eventual aim of conducting a full PDC at some future point.
The property is not fully productive but there are enough veges each year to make shop visits few and far between. Longer term, there are plenty of young fruit trees that will provide sustenance as they mature.
These images show the frist Introduction to Permaculture course PCC conducted. It was held at Vicky and Keith Gear's property at Warnervale. 2008 was a good rainfall year, as was 2007.
The block slopes slightly West and the hot summer sun is a significant issue in the design, as are the numerous gum trees that suck up a lot of the ground water. But good Permaculture design can overcome such issues.
